So, I am going to Myanmar, leaving just after Easter. I now have a visa and everything!
It's a short trip, only about 10 days, but will be a much-needed break.
There have already been the annoying bits and pieces you might expect. I anticipate many more, particularly given what my friend E. (who lives there) says about it. And, look, some of those annoying bits and pieces have been caused, in part, by my last-minute travel habits. (Although if people would just give me all the information I need in one go .......) (And I am usually much more last minute than THIS.)
I have also been discovering exactly why I don't usually use travel agents.
But - but - if things work out, I will be visiting a ruby mine. Which is something I am looking forward to immensely.
There will be posts. But maybe not until I get back to Australia in late April.
